Improving Opportunities for Board Communication
Hi Everyone
As we discussed at our last Board meeting, Board members can use this Message Board to share nonconfidential information with each other, for example, between Board meetings. Under open records requirements, the site is open for public viewing - but only Board members (or someone they designate on their behalf) can post. Like emails - you can write into the post or upload files.
One way I will use this tool is to share plans for the timing of Board meeting items, understanding that at times the Board may need to discuss items longer than anticipated. My hope is this will help each of us better plan our day, as well as the public, and provide more efficient use of everyone's time. Our Board meeting today is scheduled for 1pm to 5pm, with the following targeted timing:
- Strategic Planning Committee (1 hour, 15 to 30 min)
- Appointments Committee (30 to 45 min)
- Special Called Board of Managers (1 hour 30 to 45 min)
